well thought of. A practical book on database design covering many
common issues such as table design, field names, etc. A good read for
those doing their first few databases.]

widely used college
level text in IT/IS - main text on
which this
course was based. Includes
a CD-ROM with a trial edition of SQL Server 7.0 Coverage
is contemporary and somewhat Microsoft oriented which is good for
those doing front end work in Visual Basic. On the other hand some
consider it a bit dry. But hey! It's a text book. Unfortunately it's
very expensive.]

bit dry, unsurprisingly for a textbook]
