Synopsis:
Intermediate level hands-on course focused on using Microsoft Access
Jet SQL to optimize data retrieval and update. Ideal for users
desiring an in-depth look at this important topic. The course
features extensive practice creating and modifying Select, Insert
(Append), Update and Delete queries in Access SQL. The class can be
tailored to use linked tables with SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL as the
"back-end" data source.
Formats:
Custom group at your facility or ours, private training, and open
enrollment in San Juan Capistrano. Classes begin at 9:00 AM unless
otherwise arranged.

Prerequisites:
Familiarity with Microsoft Access. Some knowledge of query concepts
either via Access or another query program is desirable.

AIN102 Microsoft
Access Queries is similar to this course but uses almost
exclusively the Microsoft Access Query Designer. It would be a better
course if you will be working strictly with Access or are less
comfortable with the concept of looking at SQL code. You may also
want to consider combining this course with Session 1 (Reports) of
AIN104 Microsoft
Access Reports and Forms.
Materials:
Students will be provided a copy of all exercise files. They will
also receive a binder for note-taking with a printout of the slides
used for their class.
Scheduling:
Each session above may be customized and scheduled individually for
each group class. See below for open-enrollment.
Location:
Group classes are normally taught at your facilities. We do,
however, offer a wide range of alternatives, including our own
training room. Please see FAQ's
for details. We also travel beyond Southern California.
Open
enrollment classes are taught in a comfortable, executive style
conference room setting in San Juan Capistrano close to shopping,
fine dining and local attractions (map
and directions).
